Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric IV Therapy RN with ultrasound-guided IV placement experience for a rotating day/night assignment in Boston.
Responsibilities
- Work on the IV Therapy Vascular Access Team at an acute care hospital
- Pediatric to adult patient population, including HemeOnc and ICU cases
- Day/night rotation with 12-hour shifts starting at 7am, 11am, or 3pm
- Weekend shifts are required
- Floating between pediatric and adult populations as needed
- Epic charting system is used
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs must be solid colors; specific requirements for some units
- Work in a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center with NICU Level III/IV
- Day passes for off-site parking with free onsite parking for night shift
- Must be comfortable providing vascular access care to both pediatric and adult patients
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of application
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric vascular access team experience required
- Proficiency in ultrasound-guided IV placement and use of vein finder technology required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Accepts both travelers and local candidates (within 50 miles at a different rate)
