Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg to join a healthcare facility in Aberdeen, WA. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, ensuring high-quality care, patient safety, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and response to treatment
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and patient safety standards
- Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and emergencies
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (WA or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
- Strong clinical and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
