Senior Chef de Cuisine Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a high-standard, dinner-focused kitchen
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a full BOH team through service
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing food cost, inventory, and waste
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and decisive during high-pressure service periods
Must Haves:
- Hands-on leadership style — actively running the line and setting the tone during service
- Experience building schedules, managing labor, and developing team performance
- Strong systems mindset — ability to improve kitchen flow, prep systems, and operational efficiency
- Track record of maintaining consistency, quality, and execution standards across all dishes
- Ability to collaborate with executive leadership on menu development and operational improvements
Senior Chef de Cuisine Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience working in chef-driven or concept-focused restaurants
- Exposure to menu development, tastings, and R&D collaboration
- Experience opening new restaurants or scaling kitchen operations
- Strong mentorship background with success developing sous chefs and future leaders
