Senior Chef de Cuisine Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in a high-standard, dinner-focused kitchen
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a full BOH team through service
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing food cost, inventory, and waste
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and decisive during high-pressure service periods

Must Haves:

  • Hands-on leadership style — actively running the line and setting the tone during service
  • Experience building schedules, managing labor, and developing team performance
  • Strong systems mindset — ability to improve kitchen flow, prep systems, and operational efficiency
  • Track record of maintaining consistency, quality, and execution standards across all dishes
  • Ability to collaborate with executive leadership on menu development and operational improvements

Senior Chef de Cuisine Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Experience working in chef-driven or concept-focused restaurants
  • Exposure to menu development, tastings, and R&D collaboration
  • Experience opening new restaurants or scaling kitchen operations
  • Strong mentorship background with success developing sous chefs and future leaders
  • Passion for hospitality, team culture, and long-term career growth
