ECU Health Chowan Hospital is seeking a BC OBGYN for vacation call coverage. 100% inpatient, 25-bed hospital, low-volume ED, deliveries/month. Must be comfortable with vaginal & cesarean deliveries. Epic EMR, no ICU or code response.

Location: Edenton, North Carolina
Facility: ECU Health Chowan Hospital & ECU Health Women s Care Edenton

Assignment Details

• Dates Needed: November 15 November 24 (8a 8a) with future dates as needed.

• Setting: 25-bed hospital 100% inpatient

• Duties: Hospital call coverage only

• Procedures: Must be comfortable with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries

• Response Time: Must arrive at hospital within 20 minutes

• Delivery Volume: deliveries per month

• Emergency Department: Low volume, 7 beds

• Support: ECU Health Air and Ground transport for immediate transfers when needed

• Other Notes:

  • No ICU responsibilities

  • No code response required

  • Epic EMR

Requirements

• Board Certified OBGYN

• Active North Carolina Medical License & DEA

• If coverage exceeds 6 months, provider must have:

  • Current ALSO Certification

  • Evidence of completion of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course (within last 2 years)

  • Current NRP Certification
