• Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract
• Location: Latrobe, Pennsylvania 15650
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: November 10, 2025
• End Date: February 9, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1660 - $1700
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days: 7:00am–7:00pm / Nights: 7:00pm–7:00am), including every other weekend and holiday
• Unit: Thoracic Surgery Telemetry
• Patient Ratio: 5-6 patients per RN
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Float Requirement: Float to other Med/Surg or Telemetry units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or Compact RN License (required)
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications (preferred)
• Clinical experience with cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, dysrhythmia management, rapid response/code teams, and wound care preferred
• Ability to float to similar hospital units as needed
• COVID-19 vaccination status required
• Two supervisor references (preferred)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a thoracic surgery telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage cardiac drips (no titration)
• Perform central line and chest tube care, manage feeding tubes, and administer oxygen therapy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Participate in pre/post hemodialysis management and care for patients with CHF, A-fib, stroke, COPD, and renal failure
• Float to other Med/Surg or Telemetry units as needed
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and clinical standards
