The Assistant Nurse Manager in the Emergency Room provides clinical and administrative leadership, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care through team mentorship, performance management, and scheduling. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters collaboration within the nursing team at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center. A bachelor's degree, RN licensure, and at least two years of emergency department experience are required, with leadership experience and advanced degrees preferred.

As the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for Emergency Room (ED), you’ll provide both clinical and administrative leadership at the unit level—supporting your team through mentorship, performance management, scheduling, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
The ANM will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, fostering collaboration among nursing team, and supporting Novant Health’s commitment to remarkable patient outcomes.
Preferred Skill Sets:
- At least 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department
- Leadership experience highly preferred
- Excellent communication and team-building abilities

- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, preferred.
- Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
- Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications
- Additional Skills (required): Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training.
