Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides specialized care for newborns in a high acuity level III NICU setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care for 24 weeks gestation and up, including micro preemies.
- Manage patients with respiratory support and post-surgical needs.
- Utilize Epic charting system and ensure compliance with protocols.
- Float to Elmhurst campus if census is low.
- Work every other weekend as part of the scheduled rotation.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of NICU RN experience, specifically in a level III NICU environment.
- Experience with 44 weeks gestation, high acuity, and complex cases.
- Active Illinois RN license, CPR, and NRP certification.
