Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in a hospital setting requiring a WI or compact RN license and telemetry experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital-based Med/Surg unit
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Requires coverage every other weekend and every other holiday
- Caring for medical-surgical patient population, including telemetry cases
- EPIC EMR system is utilized
- Floating may be required within the facility and to nearby sites within a 40-mile radius, based on skill set
- May need to float to other units or locations within a 40-mile radius if needed
- Holiday and weekend shifts are required in rotation
- Scrub policy prohibits artificial or acrylic nails; nails must be shorter than 1/4 inch
- Local candidates are accepted but may qualify for a reduced pay rate due to radius rules
- Covid-19 vaccination is not required
- All positions are auto offer
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Telemetry background is required (ability to read tele strips)
- EPIC experience required
- Nursys license verification and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- NIH Certification preferred
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and a valid US address
- Short, natural nails required (no artificial or acrylic nails allowed)
