As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Pompano Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible and reassuring presence. This armed position involves routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
- Monitor for and report suspicious activities, hazards, or security-related concerns within the assigned area.
- Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management as required.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders during critical situations or emergencies at the location.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Remain alert and ready to respond to changing situations, adapting to various working environments and conditions as required by the client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Applicants must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or possess an associate degree or have completed 60 college credits or hold a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
