Position Overview:
-Board-certified Internal Medicine Physician needed for a high-volume, multidisciplinary practice specializing in workers? compensation and no-fault/lien cases.
-No major medical insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams, diagnose, and manage acute/chronic conditions (hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc.).
- Perform detailed injury evaluations, progress assessments, and impairment ratings for workers? compensation and no-fault patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, EKGs, X-rays, etc.).
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans; coordinate with physical therapy, orthopedics, and pain management.
- Complete thorough, timely narrative reports and forms (C-4, MG-2, etc.) for WCB and no-fault claims.
- Work weekends as required; flexible scheduling.
Requirements:
- MD/DO with active NY license.
- WCB authorization/certification.
- Proven experience in workers? compensation and/or no-fault/lien practice.
- Spanish fluency preferred (not required).
- Ability to manage 25?35 patients/day in a fast-paced setting.
