Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on 12-hour night shifts, requiring a KS or compact RN license and strong experience in surgical and medical patient care.
Responsibilities
- Hospital setting on a Med/Surg Tele unit
- Patient populations include general surgery, bariatric, gynecological, urology, orthopedic, and medical diagnoses such as cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones
- Care includes experience with Heparin drips, TPN, PCAs, and telemetry rhythm measurement and interpretation
- 12-hour night shifts from 1845 to 0715
- Requires working every other weekend
- Floating required to all acute care units
- No on-call responsibilities
- Holiday shifts based on unit needs
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for diverse surgical and medical patient populations
- Must be comfortable floating to various acute care units as needed
- Holiday coverage required in accordance with unit needs
Requirements
- Active KS RN or Compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a hospital within the last 18 months
- Experience required in general surgery, bariatric, gynecological, urology, and orthopedic care
- Experience with medical diagnoses such as cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones
- Proficiency with Heparin drips, TPN, PCAs, and telemetry rhythm interpretation is required
