Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years ICU experience
EMR: Epic experience required
Weekends: Every other weekend
Holidays: Rotating
Unit Overview:
The Critical Care Float Pool consists of highly skilled RNs who provide coverage across multiple intensive care units. Nurses with Level I trauma center experience tend to do best in this role.
Required Skills & Responsibilities:
Competent and confident in caring for ICU patients across multiple environments:
Neuro/Trauma SICU
MICU
CPS/VICU
CCU
Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU)
ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
Ability to float between units as patient census demands
Maintain high-level assessment and intervention skills in diverse critical care settings
