What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the healthcare location.
- Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare staff, visitors, and the public to address concerns and provide information as needed.
- Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols related to armed patrol duties within the healthcare setting.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
