The physician will perform a variety of gastrointestinal procedures, including lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and various types of upper GI endoscopy. The role requires expertise in diagnostic procedures, biopsies, foreign body removal, and banding of varices. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy procedures
• Conduct upper GI endoscopy, including diagnostic procedures, biopsies, foreign body removal, and banding of varices
• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system for documentation and patient management
• Adhere to all facility protocols and safety standards
• Maintain open communication with the healthcare team and other professionals
• Conduct pre-procedure consultations and post-procedure follow-ups
• Ensure proper equipment function and maintenance
• Provide expert gastrointestinal care and consultations as needed
