Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night position in Michigan, requiring strong telemetry and PCU float skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting on Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU units
- Night shift position, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating between Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementing and documenting care, and revising care plans as needed
- Must demonstrate a strong focus on patient and family education throughout the care process
- Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Expected to participate in unit meetings and continuing education to maintain professional competency
- No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license is required
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
- Experience floating to PCU is required
- Proficient in telemetry and able to read and interpret heart rhythms
- American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the unit
- COVID vaccination required, with exemptions allowed
