The Ophthalmic Technician assists the Ophthalmologist andother technical support personnel to perform diagnostic tests necessary for theevaluation of patient eye health, procedures and vision testing/correction.
Minimum Requirements:
- Successful completion of Ophthalmic Technician trainingprogram
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician by State/Contractrequirements
- One (1) year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technicianpreferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
