Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Montour Falls, NY 14865 (Upstate New York nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical Surgical Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 17, 2025 – June 16, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 - $2,090 per week
• Employment Type: Travel RN, W2

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Ability to serve as charge nurse as needed
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Act as charge nurse when required, providing leadership and support
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
