We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Associate Attorney to join our thriving legal firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that handles a diverse range of cases across the spectrum of commercial and civil litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload, as well as assisting partners with complex litigation matters. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing a caseload of complex litigation matters, including commercial and civil litigation cases.
2. Drafting, reviewing, and arguing motions, pleadings, and briefs.
3. Conducting legal research and writing comprehensive legal memoranda.
4. Participating in all aspects of the discovery process, including taking and defending depositions, drafting discovery requests and responses, and managing document production.
5. Preparing for and participating in trials, including trial preparation, witness preparation, and direct and cross-examination of witnesses.
6. Representing clients at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
7. Collaborating with litigation support teams to develop strategies and prepare for trial.
8. Providing exceptional client service by maintaining regular contact with clients, providing regular case updates, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, with a focus on commercial and civil litigation.
4. Proven experience in drafting and arguing motions, pleadings, and briefs.
5. Extensive experience in the discovery process, including taking and defending depositions.
6. Experience in trial preparation and representation at hearings.
7. Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
9. Ability to manage a large caseload, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
10. Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
