Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 1 year of recent home health experience and an active Massachusetts license for a float position covering multiple Boston metro neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

• Home health position providing physical therapy services in patient residences throughout various Boston-area neighborhoods including Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Cambridge, Charlestown, Chinatown, Fenway, Financial District, Kenmore, North End, Prudential, South Boston, South End, and West End
• Float position within the North Region Scheduling, working with patients from birth to over 100 years of age
• Standard work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required once every 6 weeks
• Uses EPIC for electronic charting
• Requires ability to travel to cases as assigned
• Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and delivery of physical therapy interventions in accordance with agency policies and best practices
• Collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate services
• Timely and thorough electronic documentation in line with agency and home health standards
• Must be able to use public transportation or available public parking (no validated parking provided)
• RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed at time of consideration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts required at time of consideration; MA conditional licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 1 year of home care physical therapy experience required
• AHA-approved certifications required
• Proof of flu and completed COVID-19 vaccination series required with no exemptions allowed
• Ability to provide two professional references upon request
