Locum Tenens Opportunity Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Join a rapidly growing Cardiac Surgery Program at a respected Trauma Level II hospital in Mason City, IA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Anesthesiologist to contribute to a high-impact, evolving program with a newly stabilized cardiac team.

• Setting: Hospital-based (occasional ASC coverage if needed)

• Cardiac Surgeries: Avg. 1 per day (not daily); 90 open heart cases projected annually

• Other Cases: 5 7 general surgical cases/day (required when no cardiac cases)

• Operating Rooms: 8 ORs running concurrently

• EMR: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC) + some paper charting

• Staff Model: Solo practice with CRNA students occasionally rotating in OR

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (Cardiac BC preferred)

• Active Iowa license or IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)

• TEE Certified Must independently read, interpret & bill for TEE procedures

• Cardiac Fellowship Preferred or extensive cardiac experience with TEE competency

• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS

• COVID Vaccinated Required
