As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Full-Time Government in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings in accordance with company and site-specific protocols.
• Carry a firearm and maintain proficiency in its use in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must provide one of the following: DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
