The role involves working in a high-acuity inpatient, ER, and trauma setting without clinic responsibilities or APP management. The position requires active licensure, DEA registration, and completion of neurosurgery residency, with support from RN and MA staff and backup from local neurosurgeons.
A leading trauma center in Colorado Springs is seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to provide holiday and ongoing 24-hour call coverage for cranial and spine trauma cases. This is a Level I Trauma Center, so experience in high-acuity surgical environments is essential.
Position Highlights:- Call Type: 24-hour in-house call (7a 7a)
- Shifts per Month Required: 7 ️
- Max Consecutive Shifts Scheduled: 7️
- Setting: Inpatient, ER, Trauma No Clinic
- Trauma Level: I
- Cases Involved: Cranial + Spine Neurosurgical Trauma
- Support Staff: RN, MA (No APPs) ️ ️
- Surgeon Backup: Handoff to 2 local neurosurgeons
- EMR: EPIC
Board Certified in Neurological Surgery
Active CO License or IMLC LOQ
Active DEA registered in CO (must keep for duration of assignment)
Completion of Neurosurgery Residency
