Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- Deliver competent clinical nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess and prioritize care for patients with complex needs in the Emergency Department
- Participate in patient education and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
- Promote a safe and secure hospital environment
- Engage in professional development and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum one year of nursing experience required
- Completion of a Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school
