A Telemedicine Physician conducts remote disability assessments by reviewing claimant medical records and determining impairment severity without direct patient contact. The role requires medical expertise to evaluate cases electronically and provide detailed case summaries. This position is remote with occasional onsite training and flexible scheduling under a contract basis.

Location:Remote after initial 30-day on-site orientation and training in Raleigh ( 1-2 days per month required onsite in Raleigh, ongoing)
Schedule: Flexible Mon-Sat hours, with a minimum of 30 hours per week
Contract Type: 1099, paid per assessment, 1 year +
Specialty: Primary Care or related
Job Description: Work on a team as a Consultant, with NO DIRECT PATIENT CARE OR CONTACT.
Responsibilities: Review of claimant records and prepared case summaries and use medical experience, expertise, and judgment to determine the severity of impairments and residual functional capacity . This review is completed electronically using a provided computer. Criminal record background checks are required.
Qualifications: NC MD or DO with clear license and background, 1 year similar experience desired.
