Travel Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (Boston, MA)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Hours: 36 hours/week
Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts
Shift Times: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 50% day / 50% night, every other weekend, 1 major and 1 minor holiday required
Facility: 550-bed hospital, 32-bed Intermediate Care Unit (post-op cardiothoracic surgery and med-surg)
Position Overview:
Provides care for patients post-cardiac surgery, including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements and repairs, and complex aortic procedures. Patients are typically transferred from ICU on postoperative day one. Nurses provide comprehensive care to prepare patients for discharge to home or rehabilitation as early as postoperative day four. The unit also cares for thoracic surgery and cardiology patients.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Massachusetts RN license required
BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required
EPIC experience required
Must be comfortable providing care for post-op cardiothoracic and med-surg patients
