The role includes providing medication management, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and conducting follow-up assessments and annual summaries. The psychiatrist will offer clinical supervision of behavior treatment plans, participate in case reviews, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans. Clinical leadership is essential, guiding the team on psychiatric care, ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), and participating in discharge planning. Additional responsibilities include screening patients for admission, providing court testimony when necessary, and offering direct academic supervision to psychiatry residents, child psychiatry residents, and students from other disciplines. The role also involves participating in performance improvement activities and peer reviews.
