Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a LA or compact license and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Uses EPIC for electronic medical records
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 18:30 to 07:00
• Call is required for 2 to 3 shifts per 4-week schedule
• Works 2-4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Must limit requested time off to a maximum of 5 days
• Limited time off is strongly discouraged between 2/13 and 2/22 due to Mardi Gras coverage needs
• Navy blue scrubs are required for all shifts
• Holiday and call coverage required as scheduled

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Trauma Level 1 experience preferred
• Preferred certifications include CCRN, NIHSS, and PALS
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• Former permanent employees must be gone at least 1 year from any LCMC facility to be considered
• Complies with a 75-mile radius rule for candidate eligibility
