Technologist - Surgical Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

High-exposure CVOR role with complex cardiac cases and on-call opportunities. Surgical Technologist in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR); full-time with long hours, evenings, weekends and on-call; location: Memorial Regional Hospital / Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital; permanent role supporting adult and pediatric cardiac/vascular surgery. - Accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent - 1 year Cardiac/Vascular OR (Memorial) or 1 year Surgical Tech (Joe DiMaggio) - Ability to work high-complexity CVOR cases, respond to changing patient/surgical conditions - Comfortable with long hours, evenings, weekends and on-call shifts

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment due to high complexity cardiovascular cases and take appropriate action. Responds quickly to changes in patient condition, surgical plan and adjust instruments accordingly. Collaborates with perfusion and anesthesia. Requires working long hours, including evenings, weekends and on call shifts. Required Work Experience: Memorial Regional Hospital: One (1) year of Cardiac/Vascular OR experience required.Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital: One (1) year of Surgical Technician experience required. Cardiac operating room experience and congenital heart disease experience is preferred. Other Information: Additional Education Info: Accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent
