General Surgical Pathology Tumor Board & Digital Pathology Maryland We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pathology Physician to join our team on a locum tenens basis near Clinton, Maryland. This hospital-based role offers diverse case exposure, collaborative clinical involvement, and opportunities in digital pathology. Position Details Start Date: February 16, 2026 Contract Duration: 3 6 months Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Shift Structure: 5-day, 9-hour shifts (7:00 AM 5:00 PM) Call: One week every seven weeks Key Responsibilities Provide general surgical pathology, rapid on-site evaluations, and non-gynecologic cytology Manage a mix of large, medium, and small pathology cases Handle approximately 20 30 cases daily alongside a team of six physicians Utilize Cerner EMR to ensure accurate and timely pathology reporting Qualifications Board Certification in Pathology required Active state medical license or eligibility via IMLC DEA and CSR required BLS and ACLS certifications required Subspecialty training in Genitourinary Pathology preferred, not required Facility Information Level II Trauma Center 222-bed acute care hospital Additional Information Call responsibilities are generally manageable, with occasional late frozen sections or blood bank consultations Credentialing timeframe: 60 90 days This opportunity is ideal for pathologists seeking a collaborative hospital environment, varied case mix, and short-term locum flexibility.
