Unit Overview OR Suites: 3 Total Staff: 11 Patient Ratio: 3 staff members per OR Equipment Focus: Open Heart, Vascular, Thoracic Trauma Level: Level II (vascular and thoracic coverage) Staffing Model Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse 3–4 RNs 2 Scrub Techs 1 Aide or Anesthesia Tech Night Shift: 3-member on-call team (2 RNs + 1 Scrub Tech) Typical Procedures CABG Valve replacements/repairs TAVR EVAR / TEVAR Carotid Endarterectomy Fistula creation & interventions VATS / Thoracotomy Fem-Pop Bypass Angiograms with interventions LVAD / RVAD ECMO Hiring Profile Must-Have Skills Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic OR experience Ability to meet 30-minute call-back time Punctual, flexible, and reliable Preferred Skills Ability to scrub cardiac and vascular cases Experience with Meditech EMR Call & Scheduling Requirements Call: 2–3 weekdays per week Weekend Call: Approximately 1 weekend per month Night Call Coverage: 3 staff nightly (2 RNs + 1 scrub) Time-off requests must be included in the contract Dress Code Scrubs provided by the hospital Ideal Candidate Traits Self-motivated Team-oriented Flexible and adaptable Why Choose This Assignment?
