Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician Faculty Role in Residency Program Outpatient, Day Shift (32 hrs/week) Near: Chicago, IL We are seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician to join our faculty team and play a vital role in training the next generation of physicians. This position combines direct patient care in our Outpatient Ambulatory Clinic with teaching and mentoring responsibilities in our Internal Medicine Residency Program. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, committed to delivering high-quality patient care, and eager to contribute to program development and scholarly activities. What You ll Do Provide primary care to a diverse patient population in a community-based setting. Develop individualized care plans and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. Teach and mentor residents, supervising up to four per clinic session. Lead discussions on disease management, diagnosis, and treatment. Prepare residents for board certification exams (ABIM, AOBIM). Deliver lectures, conferences, and presentations. Provide constructive, timely feedback to learners and serve as a professional role model. Participate in program development, curriculum design, and committee meetings. Qualifications Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Experience teaching or supervising medical students, residents, or fellows. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
