The Surgery - Vascular Nurse Practitioner role involves full-time locum coverage with responsibilities including first-assisting in cardiovascular surgery procedures, providing inpatient ICU care, and taking on-call duties. Facility in Lexington, KY seeking CV surgery locums coverageRates: $170/hr regular hourly, $300/night call$1500/24 hr call and $250/hr call backKey Responsibilities This is a full-time position requiring at least one week of M-F coverage per month, including call. Your duties will include:
- First-Assisting: You must be proficient in first-assisting, endoscopic vein harvesting, and CABG.
- Inpatient Care: Morning rounds typically on 5-10 ICU patients with faculty. You will not be responsible for signing in as first call for any patients.
- On-Call: You will be required to take night call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and weekend call.
- Specialty: You will be part of the Cardiovascular Surgery team.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of recent experience first-assisting in cardiovascular procedures is required, along with skills in endoscopic vein harvesting.
- EMR: You must have Epic experience.
- Board Status: You must be a Board Certified NP and have an RNFA.
- Licensure: An active Kentucky (KY) license is required.
- Vaccination: Both COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required, with medical or religious exemptions allowed.

- The target start date is February 2, 2026.
- This is an academic/training setting.
- Privileging takes an estimated 90-120 days. No emergency or temporary privileges are available.
- This is a non-solo position, where you will be working with faculty and a team.
- The contract length is 3-6 months with an option to extend.
