RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 31-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with patient ratios of 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing
• Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Schedule is completed in 4-week increments with self-scheduling to an extent
• Manager may move shifts to balance out schedule
• Navy scrubs required (tops and bottoms)
• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Procedures performed on unit include insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must have active RN license and ICU experience
• Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
• Contract labor is first to float; may be required to float to medical/surgical units when needed
• Unit secretary staffed during day shift with occasional nurse extern working as a tech
