Seeking BC/BE Hematology / Oncology physicians to join an employed team
- Join a collegial and supportive group of 5 providers, including 1 physician and 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Enjoy a 95% outpatient and 5% inpatient mix, with an average patient load of 18-25 patients per day
- Call is currently 1:3 with very few calls, all of which can be handled via phone
- Our office is equipped with an EMR system and offers a comprehensive support team, including a genetic counselor, dedicated research associate, and weekly tumor board meetings
- Work alongside a strong primary care team, 10 RNs, 2 navigators, 1 RN case manager, 2 pharmacists, 1 pharmacy tech, 1 lab tech, 1 office manager, 1 clinical director, 1 social worker, 2 financial counselors, 6 clerical staff, and 1 program director
- Providers are assigned to three rooms, with patients roomed by an RN and comprehensive assessments performed. A triage nurse handles all incoming clinical calls.
- The office is open from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Providers typically see patients from 8 AM to noon and 1 PM to 5 PM, with new patient consults scheduled for 60 minutes and follow-ups for 15-30 minutes
- The practice is predominantly outpatient, with APPs typically handling inpatient rounding. Oncology consults are provided as needed for hospital admissions
- Inpatient Rounding: Conducted by APPs for current practice patients, with admissions managed by the hospitalist group.
- Call Transition: Call changes at 7 AM, with ED physicians handling phone consults and acute leukemics referred to higher levels of care.
