Job Title: Locum Pediatric Hospitalist Facility and Practice Overview
Join our dedicated team at a well-regarded medical center located in Roseburg, Oregon. We provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care, including Level II nursery services and family birth support. The facility is equipped to handle patient needs with a focus on quality care and patient safety. We are currently seeking a locum pediatric hospitalist to cover shifts and ensure the continuity of excellence in pediatric healthcare.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide attending physician services for inpatient pediatrics and emergency department consults.
- Round on inpatient pediatric patients and newborns in the Family Birth Center.
- Stabilize and facilitate the transfer of critically ill patients.
- Perform required procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, umbilical lines, and neonatal resuscitation.
- Interact with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergencies with a prompt in-person response time for neonatal resuscitations.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (Required)
- Oregon medical license (Required)
- Availability for scheduled shifts and dates at the time of name clearance (Required)
- DEA certification (Required)
- Clean malpractice background (Highly Preferred)
- Local candidates preferred, with minimal travel requirements (Highly Preferred)
License and Certification Requirements
- Current Oregon medical license
- DEA registration
- Board Certification in Pediatrics or eligibility
