Registered Nurse - High Risk Antepartum/Postpartum
ScheduleThis position requires a rotating shift schedule of 3x12 hours, including every other weekend and holidays.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse will provide direct care to high-risk antepartum and postpartum women with medically or obstetrically complicated pregnancies. Collaboration with physicians, nurse midwives, and social workers is essential to deliver the highest quality care to this patient population. Effective communication skills, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities are necessary for success in this role. Nurses may float among units based on the variable needs of volume and acuity in the OB/GYN service.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care for high-risk antepartum and postpartum women.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in orientation and training across various competencies in the OB service.
- Float among units as necessary to meet patient care demands.
- Current RN License in New York.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience; OB experience preferred.
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification required.
- Telemetry experience required.
