Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg RN for a day shift position in Oklahoma requiring at least one year of experience and an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Med Surg unit in a hospital setting
- 12-hour day shifts with a 36-hour work week
- Required to work 6 weekend shifts during each 6-week scheduling period
- No on-call responsibilities
- Duties include preparing and administering medications, changing dressings, inserting catheters, starting IVs, adjusting and interpreting specialized medical equipment, and monitoring patient vitals
- Must report adverse reactions to medications promptly
- A maximum of 5 days of requested time off is permitted
- Local candidates are considered at a reduced rate
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma or compact RN license
- Current BLS (AHA) and NIH certifications
- At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Recent travel nursing experience highly preferred
