Travel Nurse Job Details

• Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), rotating weekends
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680

CVICU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Mississippi or compact state)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience with cardio open heart training (must be detailed on resume)
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse eligibility)

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to cardiac patients in the CVICU, including post-open heart surgery care
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using EMR systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond to cardiac emergencies and deliver advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Float to other hospital units as needed
