We are looking for a Logistics Technician for a full-time, fully onsite opportunity in Washington, D.C. As the Logistics Technician, you will be responsible for managing inventory and asset lifecycle, coordinating equipment distribution and emergency support, and maintaining accurate tracking and reporting systems for all materials and safety equipment.
What You’ll Do
Asset Management:
Create space to receive and stock deliveries
To receive deliveries, find POs, if not found request PO copy from MGMT
Check deliveries against PO, Record in delivery tracker
Identify delivered and non-delivered items
Multi-project PO: Sort and separate the equipment for different Projects
Save packing slips soft and Hard copies
Barcoding equipment
Updating asset management tracking system
Maintaining and storing of all packing slips.
Verify the order, notify the requester and release to requester
Maintaining stock inventory for day to day need, like Labels for Cabling, tie raps, Velcro, installation screws and all accessories needed for smooth operations.
Collects the sizes of all Techs, get Quotes, and assist in procuring the uniforms. Keeping some stock for new hires.
Distributing Uniforms including Safety Jackets, Safety Vest and Safety T-Shirts
Processing RMA request - RMA Notification follow up, pick up RMA, release, record and return the faulty items in timely manner
Respond to inquiries from Project Engineers and Project Managers
Managing key request and distribution to communication rooms.
Vendor INVOICE Verification:
Maintain detail records of all materials received
Verify invoices are correct and include all items delivered and follow up on errors and correction as required
Project Equipment Release Process:
Receive request emails to release equipment from Project Engineers or PM. Prepare the equipment to release and to notify. Record all small and big items released in Released Tracker.
Emergency Support Rack:
Ensure availability of spare equipment in the event of an emergency
Ensure all sizes of Cat6 cabling is available for operational use
Ensure Fiber optic patch cables are available
Asset Management reporting:
Maintain Asset management system to ensure all equipment received is entered into the system.
Update Asset management system with installed equipment locations and service
Produce Inventory Report of all major items biweekly
WSAD Calibration:
To maintain WSAD Calibration Tracker, to send WSAD Alexandria Shop for recalibration and pick back
Investigate the Calibration Expiration Reports produced by SAMS monthly basis
Radio Calibration:
Maintain Radio Calibration Tracker for 55 Radios, to notify 48 Techs if their Radio is expiring.
Collect radio and deliver and pick Radio to and from SAMS Alexandria shop.
Assign Radio Call Numbers to all Radio Users of NCS, record Them and update as needed
Electrical Safety Gloves Retesting and Distribution:
Electrical Safety Gloves retesting every 6 months. Collect the Electrical safety gloves from all Techs, send for Retesting and distribute to Techs.
TRACKING PPE:
Order the Track PPE Hard Hats, Safety Vests, Flashlights, Hot Sticks, Safety Goggles for track work from MSF. Stock them and issue to the Techs.
Picking up Pandemic PPE and distribution to departments as requested.
What You’ll Need
Required:
3 years of IT supply chain methodologies experience
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications - specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
3 years of IBM's Maximo product experience
Recent verifiable experience working on Asset management systems entering asset information or a similar asset tracking Process
Knowledge and experience working with supply chains
Experience using asset moving equipment and tools
Ability to use automated tracking systems
Ability to independently organize and carry out assignments with minimum supervision as well as the ability to function as a team member

Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

$50.00-$58.00 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
