Position Details:
- Location: Near Los Altos, California
- Duration: December 1, 2024 March 31, 2025
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM 5 PM
- Patient Volume: Approximately 15-20 patients per shift
Role Responsibilities:
- Primary Focus: Outpatient consultations and follow-ups within the orthopedic department
- Specialization: Joint, sports, and hand pathologies (no surgical procedures)
- Patient Interaction: Providing care primarily for consultations, evaluations, and follow-ups for orthopedic conditions
- Collaboration: Work alongside two other advanced practice providers within the team; strong team support available
- Floating: Assigned to one or two clinic sites, with flexibility required to float to additional nearby outpatient sites as needed
Requirements:
- Licensure: Current license to practice in California
- Certification: Advanced Practice Provider certification required
- Experience: Orthopedic experience in an ambulatory (clinic) setting strongly preferred; specifically with joint, sports, or hand pathologies
- EMR Proficiency: Familiarity with Epic or similar systems is beneficial
- Board Certification: Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Assignment Highlights:
- Type: Locum Tenens, Advanced Practice Providers Only (No residents or physician supervision required)
- Holidays Observed: New Years Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
- Credentialing: Estimated completion in approximately 30 days
- Insurance: Provided by staffing vendor
- No On-Call Requirements: Strictly scheduled clinical hours; no weekend or holiday calls
