Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow 1:3
• Must have PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be able to titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine
• Floating requirements to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, medical surgical for full patient assignment, and some ER holds/boarding
• Any color scrubs allowed
• 2 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation (Friday and Saturday of first week)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, post-cardiac catheterizations, EP studies, pacers, ETOH patients, COVID BiPap patients, general surgical with heart history, pneumonia, and sepsis
• Work with telemetry portable monitors, room monitors, and interpret cardiac strips
• Manage respiratory equipment including BiPap, trachs, and Airvo
• 32-bed medical/telemetry unit with charge nurse support
• Patient care techs available with 1:10 ratio goal
