Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Government Access in Sanford, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a secure environment. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related incidents according to established protocols.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public.
- Assist law enforcement or emergency services personnel on-site as needed.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal policies.
- Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed personnel, including proper handling and storage of assigned equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
