A well-established facility in Suffolk, Virginia is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage. This position is inpatient-based with call responsibilities to support the group during provider time off. You ll work in a Level 3 trauma center with access to full cardiology resources and a robust support staff.

Location: Suffolk, VA

Facility Size: 250 total beds 10 ICU beds
EMR: Epic

️ Position Details:

• Setting: Inpatient with call

• Reason for Coverage: Provider PTO (ATO)

• Average Clinic Volume: 28 patients per provider

• Average Inpatient Admissions: 3 4/day

• You ll be the sole interventional cardiologist on-site during coverage

• Must be comfortable supervising Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs)

• Patient Demographic: Adult & Geriatric

Required Procedures:

• Balloon Angioplasties

• Coronary Angioplasty

• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)

• Heart Catheterizations

• Coronary Angiograms

• Embolic Protection

• Carotid Artery Stenting

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology REQUIRED

• Active VA Medical License & DEA REQUIRED

• BLS/ACLS Certification REQUIRED
