Required Skills: Medical degree from an accredited institution Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology Active Michigan medical license and DEA registration Proven proficiency in performing ERCP procedures Excellent clinical judgment and interpersonal skills Ability to manage 24-hour call coverage effectively Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in hospital and outpatient settings Familiarity with hospitalist support systems Expertise in managing complex GI cases Comfort working with colorectal surgeons and multidisciplinary teams Previous locum or shift-based work experience Preferred Education and Experience: Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship training At least 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience Prior experience in hospital-based gastroenterology practice Other Requirements: Availability to start on 01/01/2026 Ability to commit to multiple coverage periods through 2026 Participation in hospital orientation and online training modules Willingness to work Monday through Friday, with flexible 12- or 24-hour shifts Must adhere to travel and expense reimbursement policies; expenses such as car, fuel, mileage, and a $150 cap for lodging (including taxes) No third-party lodging arrangements; no reimbursement for taxes or Med Staff Fees On-call coverage includes nights Monday-Thursday with a 24-hour rate; Friday day shifts with patient contact included Holiday and callback rates apply as specified This position offers competitive hourly pay, weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive benefits, and an experienced support team dedicated to your success.
