Position Overview An acute care hospital is seeking a
Board-Certified Radiologist to provide
overnight emergency radiology coverage beginning in late September 2025. This is an
ED-only, overnight assignment-no general reads, no weekends, no interventional, and no call required. The radiologist will be responsible for interpreting imaging studies ordered by the emergency department during night hours. All hours are billable, and this role pays in the
top 10% nationally for overnight radiology locum tenens roles.
Assignment Highlights - Night shift only: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM, Monday-Friday
- ED reads only (no mammo, IR, or general diagnostic during this shift)
- No call, no weekends
- All hours are billable, including orientation
- HPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission-certified agency
- Top 10% pay nationally for overnight radiology locum tenens
- Prepaid travel and lodging provided for non-local clinicians
- Work on observed holidays may be requested if mutually agreed
Skills & Experience - Board Certification in Radiology (required)
- Active state medical license (required) - confirm state for facility
- Minimum 2 years of experience reading high-volume emergency department studies
- Comfortable working independently overnight
- Familiarity with modern PACS, VR, and remote workflow platforms preferred
