American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a WV or compact license and at least two years of ER experience.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Work 3x12 hour mid shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM with some weekends and holidays required
- Patient population consists of emergency and trauma cases
- AllScripts and McKesson are used for charting
- Candidates must live at least 75 miles away from the facility, with those living 75-100 miles considered on a case-by-case basis
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Navy blue scrubs are mandatory
- Initial training modules must be completed prior to start and are included in onboarding
- Orientation provided every other Thursday
- Ex-employees of the health system must wait 2 years after last permanent date to be eligible for travel roles
- Travelers with a perm or PRN role at Vandalia Health System are not eligible
- Active WV or compact RN license; pending license will be considered
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all AHA), and TNCC
- Previous travel nurse experience is required
- Two recent manager or charge nurse references required
- No previous permanent employment at any Vandalia Health System facility within the last 2 years
- Flu vaccine required unless medical exemption is provided and approved
- No active disciplinary action on current nursing license
