Job Description
As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol Driver Aero/Defense in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with clients and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
- Observe and report any irregularities such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and site personnel regarding security-related matters.
- Follow post orders and instructions as provided by Allied Universal and site management.
- Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site protocols.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
