Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a KS or compact license and current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Emergency Department of a healthcare facility
- Provides direct care to patients with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- 13-week contract assignment
- Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions, and coordinating interdisciplinary care
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently in a high-stress environment
- Requires strong critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
- Onsite orientation includes completion of CPI/MOAB high-risk training
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required per facility policy
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate according to facility radius rule
- Candidates may only apply to one position per health system at a time
Requirements
- Active KS or compact state RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Nursys verification and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start
- Current TNCC certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or MOAB De-Escalation Course required prior to start, with additional onsite MOAB Managing Physical Confrontations Course during orientation
- Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
