Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine in Houston, TX
Join a dedicated team at a facility dedicated to serving our nation's veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. This role is ideal for physicians with their own offices who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of veterans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments on a PRN basis.
- Conduct interviews and make physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete administrative tasks associated with exams, such as submitting reports and addendums.
- Maintain a flexible schedule and be available for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- Ensure thorough documentation and follow-up as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must possess an active and unrestricted full medical license.
- Own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- AANP certification is required.
- Full, unrestricted medical license required in the practice location.
