This position is for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician providing locum tenens support in a well-equipped healthcare facility specializing in high-risk pregnancies. Responsibilities include managing complex maternal-fetal conditions, performing specialized procedures, and overseeing inpatient and outpatient care. The role requires Board Certification or Eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine, a Virginia medical license, and involves on-call coverage during evenings and nights.

Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine
Job Details:
• Locum tenens position providing support during recruitment period• Practice setting includes both office and inpatient coverage• Average of 27 scheduled patients per day• 95% high-risk pregnancy and 5% low-risk pregnancy patient mix• Collaborative practice with another MFM physician and rotating NP support• Perform specialized procedures including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and cerclage (preferred)• Manage complex maternal-fetal conditions including pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, growth restriction, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital abnormalities, and pre-term labor• Manage high-risk conditions including hypertension, thrombophilia, genetic disorders, and birth defects• Oversee vaginal and cesarean births for high-risk patients• On-call coverage required from 5pm-8am• Documentation systems include EPIC and Viewpoint• Well-equipped facility with onsite ultrasound and supportive staff including RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, and front office team• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine• Must have completed MFM Fellowship• Valid Virginia medical license required• BLS certification required (AIUM Certification preferred)• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
